For today, I'll talk about MTG.
Today, I had a rather interesting card spoiled for me, named Edric, Spymaster of Trest.
Here you go:

Interesting, huh?
For a mere three mana, everytime you hit your opponent with a creature you'll get a free card, and in multiplayer people will tend to avoid attacking you to benefit from the free-card engine too!
This card is going to be in a set of cards that will be legal in EDH (or, as it is called nowadays, Commander), but not legal in standard or extended.
And I'm sure you all are getting ideas of how to optimize this, use it's full potential TO THE MAX.
However, I am not.
This is, to me, the best Group Hug general since Pheldagriff.
(Group Hug is an EDH archetype dedicated not to winning, but only, well... "Hugging" everyone! See Tempting Wurm for more details.)
Firstmost, Edric is in my favorite colour combination, blue and green, and I won't have to dip in white (like I had to with Pheldagriff). Also, I am way more comfortable playing only two colours rather than three.
Secondmost, he feels to bring a little more impact than the Purple Flying Hippo, for both good and bad. He will tempt the other players to turn on each other rather than you, in the true Group-Hugging spirit... That is until they deem you too much of a threat, and all make a pact to get rid of you and pesky Edric. Then you're in for a lot of trouble.
But that won't happen if you're playing Group Hug. A group hugger is never a threat, only an asset.
Thirdmost, THIS IS AWESOME. It is rare for Group Hug to get any additions, and a new General is purely sweet. I cannot avoid drooling to the thoughts of what I can make with this card. It enters the realm of being both competetive and group-hug friendly at the same time, and that's, well... more or less unheard of up to now.
Anyways, that's all for me today! Happy brewing!
Oh, and make sure to give your playgroup a big group hug from me the next time you see them, 'kay?
